What is Light the Night?
Light the Night is the Leukaemia Foundation's inspiring night to remember, a time to celebrate and give hope to patients and families affected by blood cancer.
Across Australia each spring, friends, families and work colleagues light the night by carrying coloured lights each with a special meaning.
Gold to remember a loved one, white to celebrate being a blood cancer survivor or blue to give hope and show support.
A number of Henty Stamfords staff volunteered at the recent Melbourne Light the Night fundraising event for the Leukaemia Foundation. The evening was a great success for the foundation, with this and various other events in 2010 helped to raise over $1.5m for Leukaemia Foundation's Vision to Cure and Mission to Care.
All the staff agreed it was an incredible experience and we were all very happy to be involved.
